I was a journalist and copywriter before building a career as a sales and marketing director in industry. Having always written, I completed the Curtis Brown Creative Writing course before writing my first novel HOW NOT TO GET DIVORCED and then my second, HOW TO MAKE TIME FOR ME, both published by Aria Fiction.
I've loved being an author so far and especially those lovely best-seller flags in lots of categories in several countries (not much beats that feeling).
As a mother and stepmother to four teenagers while holding down a fairly full-on job, I wanted to write grown-up commercial fiction about messy, modern love and families - with all their heartbreak, humour and hope.
I grew up in Cornwall, hung out for a long time in London and then Hertfordshire, and now I write as often as possible from my study overlooking the sea at the end of The Lizard peninsula.
I'm probably there at the moment writing novel number 3...
